Hi! I’m Miss Bee, owner and caregiver at Pumpkin Patch Acres Family Home Daycare. I am a wife, mother, and musher with over 30 years of experience in early childhood education and childcare.
I am certified in CPR/First Aid, have extended background checks and operate legally under Idaho law as a license-exempt family home daycare.
Our days at Pumpkin Patch Acres are guided by traditional learning, with an emphasis on practical life skills, imaginative play, purposeful activities, and age-appropriate independence on a small, working homestead.
Our homestead includes many farm animals including chickens, ducks, pheasant, rabbits and more.

We even have a working sled dog team that has been trained specifically for interacting with children!

Healthy meals and snacks are not just provided, but ingredients are planted, grown and harvested here in our dedicated children’s garden…

We cook, bake, clean and sew along with playing, learning and practicing good table manners. We collect eggs, plant seeds, harvest honey and learn to appreciate and respect nature.
Preschool and Pre-K are included Monday through Thursday for ages 3-5 and includes reading, writing, math, art, music, movement and natural sciences.

Our unique environment provides opportunities for learning and exploring that your child won’t receive at a typical daycare or preschool. Children leave our care confident and prepared.
We purposefully keep our group small – no more than six at a time, and we only keep one infant at a time in our care at all times. This allows for more one-on-one quality care.
We are committed to cultivating strong character, personal responsibility, and respect for family, faith, and country in age-appropriate ways that honor childhood. Our role is not to replace the family, but to support it.
Families who share these values tend to feel right at home at Pumpkin Patch Acres! 🌱
